Me too! It’s got such a lovely satin texture too! I noticed if chrome is around it, it almost looks like flashing from an atmospheric firing but it’s just a standard cone 6 glaze! If you’re on Glazy it’s called Gold Finch 💛

As a newer potter I’m so beyond excited that the three classes I’m hosting for hand building these cute trinket dishes are SOLD OUT at the studio! I’m floored and SO excited!

Loving this test clay body. VERY well vitrified and a lovely cream color. Going to explore adding some grog to give it a bit more tooth and maybe some light speckling as well.

Getting clay body samples fired and I’m learning a few things from this @ceramicmaterials.bsky.social class:

1) Porcelain bodies don’t have to suck
2) Stoneware bodies don’t have to be boring
3) Cone 6 Clay body recipes shouldn’t lead to under vitrified wares.
