It was great to host the Breast Cancer Institute at IGC to mark the start of #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth and have the opportunity to showcase the amazing research that goes on in our Institute.

We were delighted to welcome Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes to IGC today - congratulations to Asier Unciti-Broceta and team for their award of £125k for the development of an anti-cancer drug which may be up to 500 times more effective than current treatments: edin.ac/4pSMkqy.

Applications are open for up to four TRACC+ Clinical Lectureships in Cancer Research, starting August 2026.

Posts combine clinical training with a fully funded 3 year PhD fellowship, preparing the next generation of clinical academic leaders in oncology.
