There are survivors reading this who are in the position of being told to seek help for their PTSD-- from the very institutions & organizations that caused their PTSD.

We need (way) more trauma recovery services not affiliated with major medical institutions or the military.

They were also wrong to say, "You'll figure it out," then moving on without offering support.
I've come to dislike words over action. People say anything. But the living works of principality moves through us like LIFE animating our souls.

Radical stance in 2025.

Naturally I don't tolerate bs. Trauma makes it nearly impossible. The drive is not present. I need order amidst chaos.

It costs zero dollars to keep some realistic, specific-to-you affirmations & mantras handy & repeat them to yourself to stay focused on your recovery & life goals today.

The quality of our CPTSD recovery is the quality of our consistent focus, & no tool is "too basic" to help.

No matter what happens to today, no matter the triggers or our reactions, we're going to process & respond to them in ways that are consistent w/ our commitment to self-respect, self-compassion, & realistic recovery. Period.

We do not "have" to sh*t on ourselves today. Really.

We don't build the new "us" in recovery by rejecting, shaming, or trying to erase the old "us." We build our recovery "self" by realistically acknowledging, accepting, & caring for our past wounds, vulnerabilities, & deficits.

The best part? When professionals say things like "nervous system repair," they make you believe it's all flowers and meditation. Get up and scream. Break something. Don't apologize. Say "fuck this" and give yourself permission to have a good day. In spite of it all.

This. Nearly wiped out Indigenous Americans & committed so many atrocities against POC. It feels very condescending, in 2025, say anything to us & REGULAR people, what we 'need to do'. We've been screaming & organizing. This falls on the majority who chose not to believe us.

I didn't just leave family: I left being used for my skill & availability, while being disrespected and told to tolerate it. I left chronic pain in the past with those connections. Stomach aches, backaches, knee pain and sacral issues -- all gone since I went no contact with my mom & her family.

I can go from 4 wheels to 3. 3 Big wheels vs 4 small wheels means I gain speed faster & can move around much quicker. + I can better roll over obstacles.

This isn't a brand ad. Just giving you an idea of what is possible. Don't worry about the grand picture, just skate! I learned gear afterwards.

That red frame in particular is only suitable for 3 wheel setups, with a maximum wheel size of 110.

However, I own a frame by another company also owned by Powerslide, called "Iqon". Their frames are made to allow various wheel sizes, combinations and mounting systems. A higher price but awesome! 👇

A thing to learn: Not all skates/frames are compatible. Powerslide makes their own mounting system for their boots, in addition to selling skates outfitting the standard framing system, called '165 mount.'

Learning about all the options available to you in 2025 is likely more cumbersome than learning how to blade.

When we say "big wheels" we are referring to a compatible frame and wheel combo setup, ranging from 100mm to 125mm.

Here is an example: I have a 3 wheel setup. 3 wheels are more agile than 4. This particular setup feature 110mm wheels. Which I find adequate to power through most obstacles.
