My department at Amazon is part of the 16k layoffs that they are making in Q1. I’ve worked with them for almost 5 years and for my job to just disappear is disheartening. I have some time to figure out my next role, but needless to say I’m looking for work again.

It’s beyond “where that baby socks at?” weather. It’s “why that baby even out here” type weather

Panel 1 Ember raises her hands in the air triumphantly. She has just explained her master plan to her friends on how she will become rich and famous. Without going into great detail, it involves everyone liking her and giving her lots of money. Which she definitely deserves. Ember: AND THAT'S HOW I PLAN TO BECOME RICH AND FAMOUS! Panel 2 Ember turns to Grace and requests that her plan be read back to her. She already knows it's perfect but she wants to admire how perfect it is. Grace and Bolero have been drawing this whole time. Ember: GRACE, PLEASE READ THE PLAN BACK TO ME! Grace: OH!? Was I supposed to write it? Panel 3 Grace hands her drawing to Ember. It shows the three of them petting a giant cat and having a great time. Grace wrote her name in the bottom right corner and "Best FRiends" near the top. If you're curious, Bolero was drawing fish playing poker. Grace: I was drawing us petting a giant cat. Panel 4 Ember can't help but feel proud of Grace's art accomplishments. If there was a fridge, she would put it up on the fridge. Grace: THIS PLAN IS ALSO ACCEPTABLE!
