Of course this meant I listened to Concrete Blonde on the way to work, and there are worse ways to spend ten minutes.

It’s National Barcode Day!

They’re supposed to have flavour notes of ripe cherry, cedar, and cucumber. All I’m getting is cucumber and astringency, so they might not be properly ripe.

I often make ice cream from huckleberries and blackberries foraged near our house. My kid pointed out some bushes in the forest near her school, so now I’m planning for osoberry ice cream.

It wasn’t as good as I hoped. :)
