크로키라는 말이 내가 미술을 배울 때와 좀 달라졌다. 크로키는 실제 인물을 보고 '빠르게'그려내는 스케치다. 그래서 보통 크로키라고 하면 길거리에 나가서 자연스럽게 움직이는 대상을 보고 그렸다. 그러면 계속 움직이므로, 기억에 남는 동작하나를 캐치해서 빠르게 그린다. 당연히 인체비례를 맞춰 생각하기 보단 보이는 대로 그린다.

요샌 사진을 보고 그리는 '스케치'를 크로키라고 많이들 한다. 사진보고 빠르게 모작하거나, 인체를 분석해 '크로키'스타일로 그리는 걸 크로키라고 하더라. 둘은 머리를 쓰는 방식이나 그림의 목표가 다르다.
