I think the audience matters. If I’m talking to a group/zoom of teens, I will talk differently than I would those in their 20s and 30s. #AYACSM

A4: I have to remind myself that even if I get no likes or just one, that my experiences, ideas, and advocacy are being read, seen, and heard even if the metrics are low. #AYACSM

I know it was a rhetorical question, silly! I just wish there was an answer. We’re always told to advocate for ourselves, but then ignored by the system due to age, race, gender identity, or accents. It’s why my community self-segregates when needing support. #AYACSM

For people who look like me, it’s never over. The stressors of dealing with microaggressions in EVERY area is beyond exhausting. There is no safe space. I thought the AYA cancer space would be different, but it’s the same. #AYACSM

Great question. I wish I had the answer. A lot of decision-makers are ⚪️ and often don’t even see that their teams aren’t diverse. I just pointed that out on LinkedIn. How can you talk about health equity & unsupported communities when everyone is ⚪️? #AYACSM

I really want to build up my #YouTube channel but often don’t have the energy to create, post, and engage consistently. #ayacsm

I’m the only Black director where I work and have had my words sanitized when addressing racism in cancer bcos they’re so worried abt offending people. #AYACSM

The issue with that is people want my experience and expertise for free. No one EVER acknowledges the emotional & mental toll it takes to talk it. I honestly feel let down by the bulk of the #AYAcancer community. I no longer “belong” anywhere since aging out but still young. #AYACSM

I miss the strong engagement from the twitter days…I still have some engagement but definitely feel less connected there. #AYACSM
