Three Eees and Me

Today I used Google to find out how much snow we had gotten so far this winter. The AI summary of the results told me we had 3.5" of snow on Feb. 16, 2025. Huh...that AI is really a thing of the future, man.

It's been a week. The shock part is over; the awe part never happened. Time to be throwing sand into the fascist gears, y'all.

I loved everything about this except some of the dialogue sounded too modern for the setting, and it kept pulling me out of the story. Looking forward to the sequel, though!

I have started this book and put it down twice. I don't get the people who enjoyed it.

Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.

"I Cheerfully Refuse" by Leif Enger is my 5th book for 2025, & I think I have already found a book that will end up being in my top 10 for the year. I was a little afraid to read this because Enger's "Peace Like a River" was such a lifetime favorite of mine. My expectations were met & exceeded. 5⭐️

I literally had to change the audiobook I was falling asleep to a couple nights ago because a horribly tense, awkward, and awful situation was coming up. I was never going to fall asleep to that!

Do you ever get so stressed by the tension in a book you have to put it down and come back to it later? No? Oh, me neither. I'm definitely a normal person that doesn't get too into the books they read.
