You're messy
Imperfect
Full of plot holes
And I love you anyway
Because you prove
I had the courage to begin.

Basically all dystopian sci-fi authors really, really want to be wrong. #Booksky

Write imaginary beasts, futile quests, broken hearts, lifelong injustices, mysteries, love affairs, lost children, newfound purpose. what you're writing isn't completely terrible.

Hey, #booksky! Say hi to Emily. Her beautiful M/M historical romance, the 11th Code, had me copyediting through my tearsβand she's currently writing her first fantasy novel. So excited to see her on here!

When stuck, I try to do some freewriting but keep it focused on the scene. Usually ends up being a summary of what I WANT to happen and elements included in the scene in the hopes that I'll figure out what's blocking me and gives me a structure to go off of π€·ββοΈ

I'm about 120ish pages in currently and I'm enjoying it so far! I'm just so worried for the characters, especially with what happened at the end of book 1 π΅

E.g., describing characters by eye and hair colour, or opening scenes with a character waking up. In other words, what differentiates your story and prose from other authors' work?
