When people talk about great sitcom episodes I am always bemused why it isn't mentioned. So beautifully put together and the performances are superb

they did an audio revival of Blake's 7 with Daniela Nardini as Servalan. She was pretty good in the role.

Poet claims she has been cancelled over gender-critical beliefs

Polly Clark, a writer from Argyll, says a glowing review of her work was removed by Gutter magazine because of her social media posts

It was not as preposterously entertaining as Judge John Deed, which would have had a similar time factor

Used to spend time as a trainee lawyer watching This Life and switching off when something unfeasible in the legal profession would happen.
Longest we lasted in an episode was about 3 minutes

I was meaning to imply that 7% standing in only 7 from 73 seats is misleading polling for constituency vote.

the greens doing incredibly well given they are only standing in 7 seats (or perhaps that hasn't been picked up yet)

Kenith Trodd obituary: firebrand TV producer and Dennis Potter’s right-hand man Trodd, who has died aged 90, was the bold and influential producer behind Dennis Potter’s greatest works, championing radical drama and shaping British television with a lifelong commitment to creativ...

We lost Kenith Trodd last weekend, a brilliant producer and forward-thinking man who believed deeply in television and the British screen. He was ahead of his time in many ways. "A film is a film is a film."

My tribute is now up on the BFI website: www.bfi.org.uk/news/kenith-...

What you commented on initially was my linking to a substack which contained the correspondence. That made clear that a publicly funded publication pulled all reference to her work purely for her legitimately held views. And you commented that views had consequences.
Your position is clear enough

03.03.2026 18:36 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

You don't see any problem with that at all?

03.03.2026 18:09 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

And your position seems to be that a publicly funded body can effectively suppress reference to the work of someone holding legitimate view (views which are legally protected in equality legislation) purely because they hold these views (which is what the emails Clark refers to indicate).

03.03.2026 18:09 β€” πŸ‘ 5    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Your presumption is that the author by stating a sex realist position, that someone's sex matters in various aspects of life, is inherently discriminatory equivalent to racism. Really? Her view should mean that the work of someone else (views unknown), reviewing her book, should be suppressed?

03.03.2026 18:04 β€” πŸ‘ 8    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 3    πŸ“Œ 0

Your position is that Robert Winston and Richard Dawkins and others who believe in a sex binary and that sex cannot be changed (and have said so) are wishful thinkers equivalent to flat earthers. What is your basis for saying they are scientifically illiterate?
