Coming out of my hole to say how freaking fantastic Expedition 33 is - everyone should play this. The combat is endlessly enjoyable, the story is simple but heartbreaking.

Sorry, I know I don’t post a ton. I have trouble distilling my busy life into interesting or humorous anecdotes, and then I kinda get anxious when I try and force posts. So I just post when I feel like I have something genuinely interesting to share lol.

But I will ALWAYS answer DnD questions.

The Minecraft Movie almost defies labeling. It’s both amusing and stupid, often within seconds of each other. It entirely coasts on Jack Black’s (and Momoa’s) innate charisma. All that said, it respects the game in a lot of ways - and my kids loved it. So that’s all that actually matters.

Veilguard is SO fun. I have little critiques (the skill tree eventually just feels like granular percentage gains and nothing substantive), but the combat is SO smooth, the party members are great, all around fantastic. Sad it did so badly.

I don’t think I’ve ever created a character look I love quite as much as my Rook in Veilguard. She’s beautiful. ❤️

DnD update: party barely survived an adult red dragon and its rider in a climactic boss battle, just for it to be revealed that the nefarious villain pulling the strings is an ANCIENT evil dragon on the cusp of ascension. Can they manage to stop his ascension to godhood?

Got Veilguard thanks to PS Plus and, wow, I’m having a TON of fun with it. Went against my type and played Rogue, and the combat is incredibly well tuned.

I would add that it should be more common for players to build their character alongside their DM, getting the DM’s help to ensure the character matches the tone of the campaign and can be grounded and built naturally into the world. This kind of intense character building will go a long way.

So the Solo Leveling anime is dope, but going way too slow. Time to read the entire manhwa in 2 days flat.

Just saw CA: BNW. It’s folly to think the MCU will ever be able to regain its Endgame hype, but this was a fun flick that felt very old-school MCU in the right ways.

Also - I’ll keep coming just to support the dramatically increased diversity on the screen. Sam as Cap FTW.
