I made the move to Tidal which has mostly been smooth. Higher quality streams, better curated playlists, more or less the same selection of music, and there are some third party apps that allow you to migrate your playlist.

I want to love Qobuz; but they have gaps in the catalogue.

This feels a bit like how I always seem to stand in the longest supermarket queue; I ordered the grey founders edition.

But good to hear progress is being made; and happy for those that will be receiving their SS soon.

No update about the docking station on the website. Any news there?

My Schott Zwiesel glasses are good enough and near indestructable but my Riedel Vinum glasses are a lot thinner and lighter. They do feel and drink nicer but require more care. Not sure if that's helpful at all. If you really want to splurge you could take a look at Zalto.

It's already pretty impressive they remember CDs.

I have been a bit on a brewing hiatus. Our kitchen renovations meant that my RAPT fermentation fridge became our main fridge for the past 2 months.

Today they are bringing our new fridge. I am really excited to have this sorted for our kitchen and being able to start brewing again!

Question: the time paths for the grey founders edition and the dock seem to be getting close-ish. Any chance they will ship together?

If I would attempt this the only thing vertical about this tasting would be me, as I het carried out of the pub while passed out 😵.

It's one of the skills I sort of acquired during COVID and then let go off.

Making bread and maintaining a sourdough culture is super fun though. I hope to pick it up again once my kitchen is fully up and running :)

What is everyone drinking this evening? I just picked up some sake and beer at Sterk / Pasteuning.

Got some nice funky cheese at Kef and my parents brought me a box of oysters. Will pair those with the bottle on the left; Terada Honke Daigo no Shizuku.

It has almost become a yearly tradition. For New Year's eve I get a big haul of cheese from Kef.

And oysters.

Now to decide which bottle of sake to pair this with.

Someone bumped into my speaker, which fell into my TV. RIP LG G5 OLED :(

Insurance has been a nightmare to deal with but now they are replacing the panel on January 7th.

Part of me likes not watching TV actually.

Nice to see them in people's hands. I love the blue colour, but I'm still really happy to have ordered a classic grey. It will fit in better with the rest of my retro consoles.

I bought my DIN10 cable like 8 months ago; I sure hope it's compatible because I'm not very likely to return it haha :)

Yeah the app is already a bit hard to navigate with only beer.

On the other hand I would love Untappd for sake check-ins.

But my bet is on them backpedalling this update because of the outrage.

I like that this was served from a Czech style Lukr tap (zwenktap). Its details like this that elevate an angry posts to pure art.

I think the tickers guild is not very happy with this update though..

I've not seen much coverage of the latest Untappd update on Bluesky. They have allowed check-in for a lot of new beverages. Not just spirits, wine, and sake. Also sodas, teas, and coffee.
