I offered that my dear colleague and trainer will do the session, but there was no interest in that.
However, it also seems that it wasn’t clearly communicated internally at the organizers that I can’t hold the session.

The AI Bubble is a $ 1.4T shell game:

2️⃣ OpenAI buys $ 100B in NVIDIA chips
3️⃣ NVIDIA reports “record demand” → stock 🚀 → repeat

Hype ≠ reality (yet).
The real breakthrough? AI that models the world, not just text.

Yann LeCun (Meta’s AI chief) dropped a truth bomb in his Harvard lecture:
"For AI to truly assist us, it needs human-like intelligence—not just next-word prediction."
His vision is: Self-supervised learning, world models and JEPA.
Aka an AI that learns how the world works, not just regurgitates text
Common' 👉 LLMs are a commodity. A useful tool, not a revolution.
LLMs don’t get the world. They’re multi-dimensional Mad Libs.
However, I do think this might just be the tip of the (a)iceberg.
What grinds my gears is that big tech’s money-go-round: VCs, cloud providers, and startups hyping each other up while the actual tech stays… limited.
In addition comes the illusion of intelligence: We’re treating statistical pattern-matching like it’s understanding.
Don’t @ me, I do see value in LLMs.
-> Kill low-brain work
-> Speed up processes
-> Democratize access to info
But the AI gurus, analysts, and media? They’re selling a fantasy even the builders aren’t promising.
AI is everywhere, but something feels… off.
LLMs? Are not "intelligent."
They’re just a fancy User Interface (UI).
A probabilistic text machine that can
✅Replace management consultants (sometimes)
✅Automate no-brain tasks
❌Understand anything
Most of the hype is a hoax👇
