Heartbroken to hear of the loss of Snap @bycats4cats.bsky.social He was a joyous person to be around, created a family and community filled with love, laughter, and memories. He will be missed greatly and I’m thankful for every memory and smile he’s brought to my life.

Devastated by Snap E. Tiger’s passing. His personality & kindness matched his larger than life stature.

I commissioned him for my first alt Kato in 2009, jump starting ByCats4Cats which created hundreds of amazing works of wearable art. His legacy will live on through them forever.

Still saw him giving complements to craftsmanships he came across on social media, like very recently...Can't believe he's gone

Tl;dr

-Friends/family come first, ABDL peeps included

-Try to learn why the furry community exist, what it is today

-Support your local events by help run it

-Pick up phone to call your reps to voice your mind on social issues, than just reposting on social media

-Touch grass, pet dogs & cats

The seemed like world leadership demonstrates finger pointing a lot, edging to raise conflicts on differences

People in the community turn against each other because we each are a much easy target than trying to change the world

One way or the other, I believe people do notice the world is unfortunately burning around us daily

If there are actual enemies, do know "most of them" are not in the community we are in....you are picking fight with the wrong people this whole time x.x

We work at cons because we know how FUN it was when we went, and we want people behind us to experience it too

If all what you can focus on is the 1% aspect of it, that you have question with, and willing to let go the 99% work people put together for you, probably I think it's a huge loss on you

It's good people want the events they attend to continuously perform better, but it does but make sense to demand the con and staffs walk on thin shells while no one have the solution in the literally thousands of comments

In addition, the people put the con and staffs on a point "if you do/don't do xyz, I'll comdamn this event", the bullying comes not only from 1, but both parties here

Of comments I came across, non of them has a 100% solution to solve all issues brought up....

Have you staffed or volunteered at conventions?

It is a collaboration among countless hours between many volunteers. Things can be complicated and no decisions are made lightly

If you have not done so, I highly encourage you try and contribute to at least one

Maybe we can all use these words less such as "mentally ill", "Nazi", or "puriteen"...

Once the demonizing starts, ppl get push over the edge there's no talking points left

A lot of the view points become complicated as we grow, but I hope, I don't want age to be a factor here

The moment you "understand" the motivation and where they coming from, whether to agree or disagree, realizing different view points are there for each of their own reasons, I believe that's where gray area starts

And that's the beginning of hope to pull people back from each polarizing end

I don't want to believe age is a factor for such narratives, but if it is, did my generation contributed anything lead to this? Is it a learned behavior?

That's what I meant by family and friends come first

If I am friends with folks for long time, know they never hurt any souls, use consent, I will standby them no matter if they're ABDL or *insert your own tag here*

People I worked with had been accepting me this whole time, accepting me before what they believed, before their own religion

When you know someone well and been through thick and thin with them, do you judge them by their character as whole, or your personal believes and views, on single aspect?

I was afraid to tell work and coworkers that I'm gay, I couldn't accept the idea of being disowned by people I was close with, people I looked up to

On my last day, I came out of the closet to them all. They said they already knew I was gay before I said anything

I wasn't born and raised here, my impression on Americans were that parents cut ties and disown their kids if find out they were gay

Major religions comdamn folks in LGBTQ+ and reject them from churches, because they are not "one of us" and "sinful", simply demonized
