Through collective bargaining, we are continuing to press for protections that help prevent the spread of AI in the newsroom.

We believe our readers should get the best journalism humans can make.

We're calling on SI to commit to who has built its legacy: its people.

We sent a letter to management, signed by more than 80% of our members, asserting the need to be transparent with our readers and that replacing jobs with AI would damage our brand.

After the action, they agreed to disclose the use of AI when used to make editorial content.

We're at the bargaining table with our new management 🥳 Even after the corporate tumult of the last few years, Sports Illustrated has dedicated writers, editors and producers (incl. some incredible people who have been here for decades!), and securing the best possible future is so important to us

A fair union contract will ensure Sports Illustrated remains an industry-leading workplace that can attract and keep talented people, do right by its employees and live up to the standard of the brand’s history.

We also had a union contract in place at our previous employer, and we believe the rights and protections we already fought for remain vital for our members.
