Annie tightens her grip on her axe, but it felt wrong to...interrupt his possibly final meal. So she looks up at Markus for a signal.

Perhaps he'd been the one leading a trail of blood. The oversized bear was devouring a recent hunt. Perhaps something some other unlucky hunter found considering the sheer size of the fish on the ground.

As the pair coutiously maneuver through the snow tipped rocks of ice and bare trees, turning the corner they'd hear what sounded like a beast devouring something wet and viscous. The monsterous bear comes into view, but only after the length of the arrow embedded in its backside did first.

"S... someone's injured." she says a little too vocally despite their unknown proximity to their hunt.

She nods, keeping a hand on her axe over her shoulder. She follows after hum, observing the trail and looking up every so often. The trail would be interrupted by what looked like blood. Lots of it frozen over with dusts of snow from the wind. But it's clear someone was attacked.

"How long ago do you think it's been since it came this way?" she asks, hopping off and leading Willow in the same direction. The tracks were still fresh by the looks of it. If she were to judge, it passed through none too long ago. So it'd be best to continue on foot from here.

She was no tracker, so in leading Willow through the harsh snowy terrain, she would listen more to Markus in where to go and slowing her fluffy feathered steed when asked. "That...is a big footprint."

city proper, it wasn't perfect and snow littered the ground with frost and ice. But just a few feet away lay the plane of soft snow, fresh from the night before.

"Magic! Or more precisely, my aim. Training my focus means nothing if I miss the target." A brush of wind cast through her and Felix and she shivers. "Let's hurry before the sun starts to set. It'll only get colder...and harder to aim. This should be good." The space outside and away from Ishgard's

Shakes.

"Outside! Just so nothing gets destroyed in the process." She seems only too eager to try her aim with Felix however seeing as she's already on her way to find a clearing outdoors.

"Fweeeee~" The large regal brown chocobo arrives, "Kweeh!" and dips his head down in a deep bow close to the ground for her to easily get on as she would approach. "Want a ride?" she asks, hopping on.

She was no stranger to the cold and made a point to dress for the weather, bundling ups with gloves and a thick coat and boots. Her freckled nose blushed over from the cold wiggles and she pulls off her right glove for a moment to whistle for her bird.

"Why can't it be both?" she's batting her lashes, swaying back and forth as if pleading him. "Besides, hitting you with anything is challenge enough."

"Mmmm...booooth?" She shrugs, knowing very well she'd be using magic. She's an awful liar and he knew this. "You practice dodging, I practice aiming."

"I'll hold you to that." She says, pointing in his direction. Their food had finished. She would store their soup into a container that would keep it warm before digging in.
