October 18th 2021, Sunset drive. I think it may have been my favourite sighting ever.

I've just watched this on Africam. Incredible sighting to get on a live cam! I still can't figure how the python managed to disentangle itself, given that it was totally impaled on the impala's horns.

We’ll miss you Djuma, you are the very heart of Wildearth and it’s hard to imagine how March 1st will look. I hope that negotiations will bring us all a new nearby open location (the closed reserves just aren’t the same) and maybe close enough that we’ll still see some old friends. 3/3

I hope that new, meaningful connections will be made, but our royal family of leopards, our beloved Djuma clan, even George the blue wildebeest (however many versions of him there may be) and Dewey the stick loving hippo - they’ve all become so familiar to the #SafariLive viewers. 2/3

During the covid lockdowns, there was a place of sanity, beauty, hope and fun. Locations varied, each offering something new to learn but always at the heart of everything were the ongoing stories of the Djuma animals. It's a harsh reality to grasp that this will be lost so soon. #wildearth 1/3

I shall miss guessing how far into each episode Vera will say her first "Pet".
