As a cat owner (well, as a cat-owned individual), I demand that people making sudden noises be punished. Writing lines should suffice. 10,000 minimum. “I will not make sudden noises, for such chaos may disturb the cats around me, and I will conduct myself with the reverence they deserve.”

A cup of warm tea before bed while listening to some gentle wind sounds (and my cat playing happily with her favourite toy) after a belly breathing affirmation and I can feel today’s anxiety and stress drain away to be replaced with tranquility.

Last night, instead of listening to a sleep story I tried a video (audio only and wrapped up cosy in bed) titled “100 Sleep Facts About Nature” — suffice to say my AuDHD brain 🧠 was far too interested in everything there was to learn. Definitely not sleepy facts. Best for hyper-focus moments. 🙃

I have the meagre beginnings of what will hopefully turn into a beautiful purple worsted crochet hat. I decided to spent the evening listening to some podcasts and doing craftwork…you know mental health and all that jazz.

Today’s college youth terrify me. In particular the group of white lads I’m being forced to listen to right now who wax lyrical about the American dream and how amazing life in the 1950s and 60s there was. Now crypto has entered the conversation. I desperately wanna say something…oh wait, my stop.

My cat’s gone to bed…in the bedroom. I’m still in the living room lounging on the sofa. I’m also watching BirdTV. Not by choice. It was Coffee who wanted the enrichment, then disappeared for a long nap. I guarantee you, if I get up to go to sleep now, she’ll have the zoomies until 1am. 🤦🏼

Well, I gotta say LUAS support staff are getting better and better at herding people into the tram after a show (my personal experience). There used to be a time when the tram either left half empty or people were falling over each other to get on without any barriers in place.

In-between cat-sitting and therapy, the question for today is… Do I edit another chapter once I get home or just nap on my friends’ couch hoping the cats will come snuggle.

Why are there so many people out and about? I’ve only really interacted with cats today but being surrounded by masses of people…well, I’m peopled out.

I did write yesterday. I rewrote and edited an entire chapter. Very pleased with my efforts.
