Seriously though, very aesthetically neat game, a little shallow on some of the gameplay/mechanics, but very neat. A little hard to play at times for personal reasons, but super cool. also saggy orrery pear tits, can't go wrong with that

(and, to my credit, I managed to do so anyways on multiple occasions, and there's proof of my work and even success with silicone and other things! So it's not like I didn't try by any means.)

I don't think that's a good situation for me to learn something in, especially something far outside my comfort zone. That's always tough, especially for entirely new things that get quite complex. I wasn't disinterested, I was intimidated and didn't feel supported or encouraged to counteract it.

Tangentially it is something I've been sorta curious about, but never had a good "in" to learn, and often felt very.. pressured? Like I needed to learn all the parts someone else didn't want to do to accommodate their ideas, which is okay to a point, but it was a lot of pressure -

Been slowly dabbling with Godot a bit lately, never really 'learned' programming properly despite knowing a lot of bits and pieces.. it uses a lot of inheritance in handling things and I think I somehow parented a child's parent to it recursively and imploded my entire project.. so that's promising!

Also recall that GWs early nids, the metal models, were literally ripoff xenomoprhs, no shame there, and the whole Space Marines/nids is a rip of starship troopers anyways. They've never been all that scrupulous in "borrowing" inspiration

Just wanted to say that this turned out beautifully and the artist did a splendid job <3 In particular I love the kinda playful use of the symbols and shapes to toy with the idea of the expressive 'brije-ish markings manifesting spatially and such, really love how that turned out
