This looks like something I really want to see. Thank you!

Good! You are wonderful, and deserve peace and safety (and safe affection).

After how you were treated last time, I am angry and sad for you that this wordless performance was what it took for you to be treated with basic customer-service decency.

I’m so sorry.

Have yet to read it, but I like your review here!

Of course. My DMs are always open to you.

You absolutely are one of the wonders, though.

I’m so sorry you can’t feel that right now.

Virtual and very gentle hugs offered.

If you need any help I can give in eventually finding healthier housing (help crowdfunding, or providing moral support, or anything you think I might be able to do) just let me know.

Are they a front for something?

That place sounds bizarre on multiple levels.

in places/with people

I’m so sorry, Tay.

I’ve lived in places where my body only felt safe when I was alone, and it’s miserable.

"just tired" is where I'm at with a lot of that, too.

I hope it turns up for you soon. <3

That looks like a really fun job; I'm sorry you weren't compensated properly. :(

Yeah, I've liked exactly one of this guy's videos; he's smug as shit and frequently wrong.

"Subject yourself to all the suffering so you don't become desensitized" is the opposite of how it works.

Really that whole picture is a treasure box!

I don't think I've ever seen a starfish before and thought, "what a cutie," but...

Are you safe? I had one date I was shortly *extremely* relieved I didn’t let drop me off at home, and this has similar vibes.

I am happy I get to adore them from afar, but I suspect you two actually DO deserve such sweet, devoted cats.

I’m still trying to convince myself to finish it since I took a break last summer. I was already so far into the book, and really care about the characters and their world.

Thank you.

It’s impossible for an author to calculate harm if there are certain types of harm they’ve been blessedly shielded from having to take into account.

Even a handful of decades ago, there wasn’t as much societal understanding about how insidious (& common) certain types of abuse were.

I am truly sorry you’re having such rough dating luck, but that last bit was really funny.

So I hope when you do find the sapphic masc you’re looking for, she (or they) appreciates the way you make her/them laugh.

I’m 100% certain that wasn’t her intent, and I love a lot of McKinley’s books.

While I mostly started reading hers as an adult, other books that depicted similar relationships definitely did child-me some harm by normalizing blurred or broken boundaries.

I know about and respect her own adult choices, but what she wrote there felt like a romanticization of grooming—this was a book published through a YA/middle-grade imprint, plus clearly written as such.

Stories like that can (& do) make children more vulnerable to predators.

“Loud cloud” is perfect! Thank you for that absolute gift of a descriptor.

I hope you two enjoyed your walk; I love the feeling of being out late/very early with Astra when it’s a clear night.

03.03.2026 10:10 — 👍 2    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

No, but now I need to go read about them!

B/c Astra needed to go out, this sleepy East Coast ghost got to see the moon already sliding into our penumbra, looking like a soft little bite had been taken out of it.

I wish I could just stay up and stare until it disappeared much deeper into shadow and slid down below the trees.

I hope not because we really have enough Types of Guy.

03.03.2026 07:46 — 👍 21    🔁 1    💬 1    📌 0

I’m so sorry. That is a mess and I hope they sort it out for you FAST; you do not need the stress and do, in fact, need and deserve the security of access to your (plural) own money.
