I love using a yarn swift and winder to make cakes at home! I’ll center pull unless it sticks/tangles easily (like mohair) and then I’ll unwind from the outside. My cat lives for winding days!😄

My husband went to the LYS with me over the holidays when I needed to grab a couple skeins. I set a few by the register while I continued browsing and he went ahead and paid for them. It was a very sweet gesture but now he KNOWS!😄

It’s atrocious! I can’t imagine sharing/taking paid patterns (or anything else) and not understanding that it’s theft. Creatives already don’t make nearly enough for the time, effort, and heart that they put into their work.

I’m thinking about a big cabled wrap like this. (Kind of a mindless knit but good for watching tv and such.) The simple pattern would be a good way to show off the colors without breaking them up!
