I've never seem them in the harbour, but there is a scattering of records on eBird including indications of formerly frequent occurrence at Luc Strand

Sanderling is an excellent Cork Harbour record. Only 4 records in 30 years of I-WeBS counts in the harbour and only a single record from the intensively watched Harper's Island Wetlands.

Grey Phalarope is the latest new species for Harper's Island Wetlands, pushing our year list to 97 species. Hopefully we will break 100 for the 3rd year in a row: ebird.org/hotspot/L422...
