Dad jokes for the win!

I have a t-shirt with a "The Reader" tarot card whose central figure is a skeleton. The last time I wore it, my dad asked, "Is that The Grim Reader? Har Har Har." And so, this design was born. Who knew Grim was into smut? #reader

But it is NOT on par with the skill it takes to create a painting, a sculpture, a novel, or a piece of music from scratch. There are people out here advertising themselves as "AI artists," but such a thing DOES NOT EXIST. 3/4

Using AI to make creative work (art, books, music, etc.) is THEFT. Typing a prompt into an AI engine DOES NOT make you an artist. Yes, knowing how to massage an AI prompt so that you get the results you want is a certain type of skill. 2/4

I can't get away from AI, and I wish I could. From AI engines advertising on social media, and people asking, "Why aren't you using AI in your business?," it is EVERYWHERE. 1/4

I love Elphaba, the book version most of all, although Cynthia Erivo killed it. I fully believe Elphie would be on the front lines with all of us, defying tyranny. So put your pointy hats on straight, ladies, we've got injustice to fight! #wicked

Happy Pride, friends! I'm not a member of the community, but I try my best to be a good ally. And, frankly, being straight was not my choice. Seriously, as a woman, do you think I would CHOOSE men? Not my first choice. Probably not my second choice, either. Yet, here we are.

6. In conclusion, I wish Ncuti had more time as the Doctor. I think he was brilliant. Eight episodes is NOT enough. I'm intrigued by Billie Piper's return. 🧵10/10

5b. Also, does this mean Mrs. Flood will come back again, because I'm DONE with her. 🧵9/10

5. The episode itself was kind of messy. Like, what was the point of the Rani and Omega? All that buildup for her to get eaten and Omega get pushed back to hell in 5 seconds? They spent more time trying to get Poppy back, which had a more emotional payoff, for sure. 🧵8/10

4b. I'm also really glad they immediately went back to another woman. Once I realized Poppy was not going to become Jo Martin, I did wonder if the Doctor would regen to her. I also would have enjoyed that. 🧵7/10

4. I did not see Billie Piper coming. TBH, I do *try* to avoid any speculation prior to watching the episodes, so maybe someone did leak it, but I was surprised by that regen. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I do think if they were going to pull from the past, this was a good choice. 🧵6/10

3. I really thought Poppy was going to age up into the Fugitive Doctor (Jo Martin). I don't know how it would work, it doesn't make sense, but I was sure that's where it was going, LOL. 🧵5/10

2. Varada Sethu also did not get a fair shake. Belinda Chandra feels like one of the least explored companions we've had. She went from feeling fleshed out in the beginning to quite one-dimensional by the finale. And she just didn't do...much. 🧵4/10

1b. Which basically comes down to the fact that EIGHT EPISODES PER SEASON IS NOT ENOUGH. Especially if they're only 40 minutes (average) and not a full hour. 🧵3/10

1. Ncuti Gatwa did not get a fair shake at playing the Doctor. Even counting Christmas specials, he only got 18 episodes. But, then, you factor in the "Doctor-lite" episodes, and he got even less than that. 🧵2/10
