Intellectually, modern WWE feels somewhere between a Tiktok video and a colouring book.

But I'm also getting old and grumpy and perhaps time has passed me by.

I watched the NJPW ppv from a couple weeks ago.

It was WWE style booking. Actually, it was TNA style booking. In New Japan.

I can go back and watch runs of episodes or matches from Mid South, WCCW, UWFI, AJW, etc, and there's tons of unique, incredible wrestling. Countless hours of it.

One of the big problems I have with modern wrestling is that the presentation everywhere feels like a copy of WWE.

Often I go back and watch old episodes of Mid South, or old AJPW or something and I'm reminded of all the varieties of pro wrestling that once existed.

It's so boring.

It's gorgeous.
