A splash page from the October 1993 issue of Compute magazine. Floating in a vaporwave plane, in the center of a piece of graph paper, a giant ebony floating head is quadrated off; but is missing the pieces in the center. Around the head is the number 4, a triangle, the symbol for pi, a mouse cursor, and various lines of navigation. Behind the head is a sunset. Into the head's open hole flies a microchip, a semicirclular prism, a pole, and a chessboard.

I’d argue Lake Washington Boulevard is one of Seattle’s best parks β€” on those rare days we let it be one. It is 3 miles of fully public waterfront, flat, paved and accessible to all! That’s longer than Alki or Myrtle Edwards.

I got myself a cute little 264mm wide field refractor to complement my 8" catadioptric telescope. It saw its first light last night. Here's the resulting image, of the North America Nebula. (It's a stack of 124 unguided 1-minute exposures.) The nebula is HUGE, 3.5x the angular diameter of the moon.
