Will I get more? I've thought about it. Many people say it is hard to get just one. I'm on an insanely tight budget right now so spending money on tattoos is out of the question. Maybe someday. I'd love to hear a story about a tattoo you've gotten. Share pics, too!

I've always thought of getting a tattoo. My sister has them. So does my daughter. I said to myself, "Maybe when I turn 40." Then, "Maybe when I turn 50." Time passed. When my daughter turned 18, we got matching tattoos of the state flower where I was born.

This life. This only one singular life. What can I do next?

I'm alive. I'm vibrant. I vibrate at a higher frequency except those times that I feel my heart falling into pieces and I can't remember how to put them back together again. Then they find their way into a new shape, scarred but stronger in the end.

I had a brilliant moment of reconnection, I thought, with someone who I've held in my heart for over 30 years. But that was fleeting and apparently not reciprocated for long. Still, that flash of a moment of being seen and heard reverberated inside of me for the rest of 2023...

I'm still in the limbo state and, despite several attempts to push away and out of it, I am still tethered to the status quo. I think this might be what is called a trauma bond.

I have a reminder on my calendar for 12noon on January 1, 2025 and have no idea what it is for. So I'm sitting here waiting for someone to call, text, or email telling me I'm late for something.
