No, no. It was book 7 I just finished. I’ve listened to all of them on Audible. Highly recommended. The narration is excellent. There is also a full cast audio production via soundbooththeatre.com which I can’t say enough about.

Read #2 was Anchorboy by Jay Onrait (maybe @jayonrait.bsky.social ?). a.co/d/bQ0mO46 If you are a fan of SC with Jay like I am, you’ll love this autobiographical account of breaking into the world of sportscasting.

My first read since election night was Unholy Night by Seth Grahame-Smith. a.co/d/7A0JCXL A reimagining of the Three Wise Men where Balthazar is more like Jack Reacher than a philosopher king. Fantastic fun.

And I’m going to read things that make me happy. Unapologetically. No “guilty” pleasures; I’m not feeling guilty about enjoying books that mightn’t appeal to more sophisticated readers.

Should I be able to continue replacing my US news consumption with reading, I should get through quite a few books in coming years. And in the interests of posting only peaceful/helpful or at least inert things here, I think I’m going to feature which books I have read since election night.

Hello folks. In an effort to avoid fixating on the political world south of us for the next four years, I plan on spending more time here than the other place. Going to read some books; maybe learn a language. I can't take being outraged all the time.
