I watched this for the first time a two weeks ago!

My favorite found footage movie! It's so good and it sticks with me for a day or two every time I watch it.

I am a huge baby when sick. I don't want to spread it so I don't expect tlc. When my wife/teens are sick, I keep far away. That said my wife has chronic epilepsy (weekly episodes) and I take care of her. Being a wimp when sick and leaving a chronically ill person aren't necessarily the same thing.

I agree, I find that Helen Chandler is criminally overlooked. If you can lose yourself in the film, her turn on Jonathan is still unnerving. And she does it within the confines of 1930s sensibilities, so without being overtly seductive.

My favorite part, however is Renfield raving about rats.

Yes. I got one two months ago. It’s great and has really helped me avoid getting distracted at work and has basically ended my late night doom scrolling.

I have one too. It’s amazing how well it works! Getting up to intentionally un-brick the phone when I shouldn’t feels like such a defeat that I haven’t done it yet.

I have ADD. I use two tools when working. For my computer I use Cold Turkey Blocker which blocks sites I put on its list for a length of time I specify.

For my phone, I bought a Brick. You select which apps/sites to block. Then you make physical contact with the “Brick” to activate/deactivate it.

I saw Psycho Killer last night. It was SO bad and the killer’s devil worshipping aspects were SO cliche, that I left the theater to check if it was one of those Christian movies that’s marketed like a normal movie. It wasn’t, which somehow makes it worse. Awful in every way. Not even worth a stream.

I went to Nefarious not know it was made by a fundamentalist Christian production company. I had my suspicions pretty early in the movie, and then fucking Glen Beck showed up at the end of it. Honestly, I was more angry at myself for not do my due diligence before going.

Yeah, it’s not very intelligent at all. If you ask a follow up question you will see that it even forgets things it just stated an entry or two above. But it will state things like undisputed facts. It’s not good for much.

This is so far removed from reality. Lib or con, you are talking to your kids about politics even if you don’t directly talk about it because you choose things based on your beliefs & economics. If you’re disenfranchised so much that politics feels like a non-factor, that too is a political message.

Everything medical in this country is such a hustle. Go PCP for a referral, go to a specialist, go get tests (because the specialist doesn't do them), go back to specialist for results, get offered treatment that is unaffordable, and each one of those is a co-pay.
