This account turned out to be pointless; most of the toy stuff I'm involved with is fully SFW so there's no reason it can't go on my main, and I don't know what tags to search for to find rubber stuff that won't just show me ugly real photos and no art, so I can't find people to interact with either

We got back in touch and that's been really nice, though I still wish I had a place to meet more toy furs without being made uncomfortable

It's funny how the NES Advantage was pushed as being the high end professional option just for being similar to arcade controls, when I actually think it's less comfortable than a normal controller. Maybe it just takes some getting used to? It is cool to play Pac-Man C.E. with it though!

I got an NES Advantage controller because I realized that mitt paws would need arcade style controls, and it's fun to pretend. I guess I could try using one while actually wearing mittens if I wanted to be silly.

Of course my mouse's tail means she doesn't need a controller to begin with.

I've been presenting my mouse sona as a toy by default for months now, and I think it's actually gone very well; most people are just very happy I'm exploring something that makes me happy, and a lot of people think it's cute. Only a few people don't like it, but they can play with other characters.

There's a Braixen toy I liked talking to who seemed to really relate to the way I feel about toy stuff, and it made me feel really validated, but their phone broke a month ago and I haven't seen them in awhile. I miss getting to be around people who really *get it* especially when I'm so different.

I've wondered before if it's even worth trying to find or establish a community for toy stuff where I can relate to people and they don't make me uncomfortable (a very big ask, unfortunately) - and I'm not sure, but finding individual people is definitely worth it and I want to do more of that.

It's difficult to find opportunities where someone wants to play into me being a toy and interact with me like that, but it's extremely good when it does happen and it feels really euphoric. Sometimes it seems like someone wants to do that, but really they want me to transform them. No thanks.

Gonna try and finally embrace just presenting my mouse sona as a toy by default, and I'm getting a new reference sheet for her where she is one; her old one didn't really reflect how people had been drawing her anyway, when when fluffy, since I got it very early on when I hadn't figured her out much

For me it's very important that being a toy doesn't lead to me being treated as or seen as any less of a person, which contradicts how a lot of people like to do it. So maybe it's fun to intentionally emphasize it.

I like printed-on clothes a lot but I'm also seeing the appeal of a toy maybe wearing regular clothes, to emphasize that they're a person and to try to explore being rubber as part of someone's normal day-to-day life

I still want to connect with people more over toy stuff but I don't know how or where to do it, or if I'm doomed from the start for not being horny enough

It's really alienating to be very passionate about something but seemingly in a completely different way than nearly everyone else out there, and just have all my attempts at attempting to find people to relate to just turn into reminders that I do not belong.

I give up; muting 100+ people and a bunch of tags isn't enough to clear out all the fetish photos, and the little bits of art I'm seeing here and there isn't really my thing, so it's not worth digging through.

Maybe rubber is another topic where barely anyone draws anything I like.

I wish I could filter out all photos of people wearing suits from search results because I find that off-putting and it's absolutely clogging up the tags I'm trying to find art in. I'm trying to mute all the accounts but there's just so many of them.

Emphasizing rubber specifically should probably, hopefully, communicate better what kind of stuff I like? Like how I don't get anything out of inflation or being in a pool setting. I care about being very stimmy and sqrking and being squishable.

But that's a good placement for some more creative uses, like some decorations that are out of the way of the rider's legs, or an attachment point for a sleigh or similar. Or just trying them to something hehe. Anatomy specifically for letting people tease the toy, effectively.

I've been putting handles on the back legs of rubber/pooltoy quadrupeds since it seemed equivalent to putting them on hips of bipeds, but I'm thinking about it more and that's kind of a silly location for them, at least as something to grip while riding the critter since you'd reach backwards.

Some more squirrels from awhile back when I encountered @rubbersquirrel.bsky.social and got excited about more squirrel characters.

I still get mistaken for a pooltoy, so I guess I will just have to keep correcting people when it comes up. I'm rubber!
