It shows the lead up. The expanded context in no way helps the Senator. It also shows that when the Marine put his hand there, it wasn't stuck. An open door closed which then immobilized his arm which only broke because the Senator recklessly charged in.

I just saw it from another angle and I was wrong. Also it's so much worse than the first video I saw. The Senator needs to go to jail.

I think the Marine stuck his hand in the narrow opening part of the door in order to fight against being removed. But I think he understood the risk that came with doing so. I'm impressed with his act of defiance despite the risk and pain.

It appears to me that he decided to jam his hand in there understanding what that likely meant.
