Absolutely fuck off with that bullshit. Take that wretched thought and shove it so deeply up your own ass a team of highly trained surgeons can never retrieve it. Why would I want my pc acting on hallucinations?
This means if you're in the UK and haven't signed this yet, please do. At 100k signatures they have to discuss it again.
Literally the least you can do!!
our government sucks so much
"we're not allowed to buy legal products and services"
"good ^^ a healthy economy is when you can't buy things"
So fucking sick of this Bullshit. Its constant, from all angles and everywhere. It's exhausting waking up to find yet another site succumbing to fascist censorship. The Internet is rapidly becoming such a hostile place and bluesky was free from that mostly. Well not after the 15th
20.09.2025 12:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm getting really fed up with how shit the backwards compatibility is on the Switch 2. Half of the switch 1 games I bought on Switch 2 suffer from random crashes, and it's so tiring. Why list them as compatible if they're all plagued with these issues. Simply won't buy any more. You can't trust it.
14.09.2025 17:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The government has today (8 September) announced urgent action to toughen the Online Safety Act by putting stricter legal requirements on tech companies to hunt down and remove material that encourages or assists serious self-harm, before it can destroy lives and tear families apart. While platforms already have to take specific steps to protect children from this dangerous self-harm content, the government recognises that adults battling mental health challenges are equally at risk from exposure to material that could trigger a mental health crisis or worse.
UK Government announcement of additional Online Safety Act regulations, not yet published www.gov.uk/government/n...
Note the direction of travel: OSA requirements that currently oblige platforms to proactively "protect" children from content will be extended to protect adults.

The UK now has a petition to STOP CENSORSHIP by MasterCard and VISA of legal products!
This joins the Australian and Canadian petitions that are gaining momentum. Come on, let's get these signed! And spread the word!

If anyone needed evidence that their end goal is the erasure of queer visibility, and possibly even our existence itself, here it is. This is an existential threat.
We really need an equivalent of common carrier laws for all infrastructure. Payment processors should be obligated to process all legal transactions. They shouldn't have any more say in it than my electric company can decide what I'm allowed to plug in.

Those are just jam-packed with 'non-consentual mutilation of a person or body part', which is apparently against the rules to distribute.
Fuck censorship. They're coming after you next, whether you make porn or not. I have never sold NSFW services or artwork, yet here's my termination from Stripe! Fully SFW, innocent headshots of furries = adult content. This is what we've been trying to fucking tell y'all this whole month!

there's an episode of The Simpsons where Marge tries to get a violent cartoon pulled from the airwaves, only to discover that the people backing her aren't going to stop at just the art that *she* doesn't like, and that supporting artistic freedom means accepting discomfort.

From an Ofcom guidance: Business disruption measures 9.4 9.5 9.6 Business disruption measures are orders made by a court on an application from Ofcom. They apply to third parties which are able to disrupt the provision of the regulated service and thereby reduce the risk of harm to UK citizens and consumers. The third party need not be an Ofcom regulated entity and may not have had any previous dealings with Ofcom. The Act provides for four types of business disruption measure: a) a service restriction order; b) an interim service restriction order; c) an access restriction order; and d) an interim access restriction order. A service restriction order is an order applying to one or more providers of 'ancillary services' to a non-compliant regulated service. An ancillary service is a service that facilitates the provision of the regulated service (or part of it) (for example, payment processing services) or one that displays or promotes content in relation to the regulated service (for example an ad server). 110 The criteria with which a court must be satisfied to grant an application for an order are set out in section 144(3) and (4) of the Act and include that the court must be satisfied that the service provider has failed and is continuing to fail with an enforceable requirement or with a Technology Notice under section 121(1) of the Act. 111 A service restriction order requires the ancillary service against which an order is obtained to take steps aimed at disrupting the relevant regulated service in the UK...
Ofcom says that if you refuse to censor yourself under the Online Safety Act, it will force payment processors and ISPs to stop doing business with you.
When the government can't shut you up, the banks and credit cards will.
Absolutely terrifying.

I cannot describe how fucking happy it makes me seeing journalists just pointing out that they're lying. Once again, if you're calling, bringing up these articles as why you're calling is a VERY good idea.
Why are they lying? Why are they refusing to process legal transactions?

29.07.2025 19:50 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0WHY? On July 2025, Steam, a popular storefront to purchase games on PC, and itch.io, a storefront that sells games, comics, tools, resources and much more, have recently delisted several NSFW games, after the group Collective Shout published an open letter to payment processors such as Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, and more. As a result of this letter, payment processors have strongarmed Valve and itch.io into enforcing restrictive new TOS policies on what kind of content their platforms can host and sell. Visa, Mastercard, Stripe and Paypal have been censoring free speech and legal business on the internet for TOO LONG. Their most recent targets are Steam and Itch.io, but they have also been pressuring websites like Pixiv, Patreon, Fansly, Onlyfans and MORE for years, applying draconian standards for what kind of adult/pornographic content platiorms and their users can host and sell. If we as consumers and creators want to regain ground on this issue, we have to make our voice heard. HOW? BOMBARD THEM WITH PHONE CALLS Collective Shout, the organization that lobbied to have Steam and Itch.io change their TOS, did so with only around 1000 phone calls. Visa and MC have backed down from pressuring Onlyians to remove adult content entirely due to public backlash. Clogging their phone lines for an extended perlou, over a mont at the absolute least, will almost gudrantee that these compantes will at least have to pay attention to the backlash. this list is not exhaustive. but some contact points for the 4 targets are: 1. Message from a user called BBBen on discord: Collective Shout, who have been provoking this latest wave of trouble are registered as a charity in Australia, but their work seems to be purely as a political activist organisation generating moral panic. This is against the rules for registering as a charity. If any Australians (Aussies only, please! It's counter-productive for people from elsewhere to do this) want to register a concern about their wrongful listing as a charity, then you can do so on the Australian Charity and Non-Profit Commission website. Here's the relevant links. Collective shout's profile, including their ABN: https://www.acnc.gov.au/charity/charities/8f14b7df-39af-e811-a963-000d3ad24077/profile Raise a concern with the ACNC: https://www.acnc.gov.au/raise-concern You can also attach evidence, which would probably help, though any concern is a valid one to post. Just explain the situation and try to call attention to the fact that political lobbying is not charitable work. You can go into other relevant details if you wish. All of this only takes a minute.
