The plastic surgeon really grilled me today in my consult for a metoidioplasty asking me “why now” and “why not a phalo”. Not once did he ask me why I wanted to keep my hole and that was very demure, very mindful of him.

No one should go into debt or financial hardship to pay for their medical needs. I hate how regressive this country is. It’s especially disgusting given that the cost of care is far outweighed by the overall benefit to society by cared for people being more productive people.

Damn that’s really sucks. When I had top surgery, it wasn’t covered and the cost really put me out. I was only able to have it with the help of community, a friend who put up like 1/3 the cost, and grinding like never before. It was rough.
