Announcing CreFiWriMo! This new event runs Nov 1st-30th Creative Fiction Writing Month, or CreFiWriMo, is unlike many of our other events as you don’t earn points and it’s not competitive. The goal is to simply write, and see how much you can write in a month. You can write about your own characters, about someone else's characters, or even fanfiction about your favourite fandoms. The final scores are in! The numbers have been so close throughout the event but Treasure has taken the world by storm with some heavy hitting entries that give them a final total of 98849.37!

I read the rules about underage characters and believe I understand all that was stated. However, I'm a bit stuck in wondering if we can still include adult characters who have relationships with underage characters in canon? (1/2)

I wanted to assume that as long as the relationship wasn't depicted within any reference that it would be fine, but better to be safe than sorry. Thanks in advance for your help! :3 (2/2)

Mentions of this as part of a character backstory is fine. Our rules just prohibit outright depicting this relationship in any work posted to our site.

For the event you are welcome to state you do not want to receive NSFW content at all if this is something you wish to avoid.

We're unable to add any filters to the site due to limitations with the software, so by joining you understand that you may see NSFW content at any point

If I am rejected, is there a way to appeal? I think I got rejected due to the people I follow, but it's over 62k on bluesky. I'm just wondering if I can appeal, no worries if not!

I was sign up on July and waited for a very long time, checking emails every day, but one day as i logged in, I got banned, Im not sure why. I might have gotten one of the questions wrong, what do i do? Im afraid to wait for a very long time til the event ends (my English isnt the best!)

Hey is there anything that can be done about stolen OCS? One of my friends apparently has had their ocs stolen for creative clash and they're unsure what to do as they're not signed up for the website

We take stolen characters and creative work very seriously, regardless of whether or not the owner is a member of CC.

We don't have any plans for further upgrades to the site for the foreseeable future.

If we were to look into implementing new features, we would need to rebuild the site from the ground up which is something we can't do at this time.

We fully advocate for people to be free to explore any and all fictional content regardless of the reason they explore them.

You're welcome to dislike certain content and don't have to identify as 'profic' to join, however you must understand our core ethos and what we advocate.

(1) I'd like to keep this anonymous and short, but lmk if you need verification. I feel it's unfair to not have an alternative way to verify, as a POC who had to delete socials multiple times due to how (majority) white antis go after them

(2) Poc are more likely to lose jobs/have irl consequences over this ALONG with online harassment, and I have almost lost a teaching job and had someone called my boss. Please reconsider, and keep up the good work

Clarification for rule 18: Can you do characters with medical props that they inject with things they don't need f.e. inhaler with siscon or is that ableist in your book?

This rule relates to how you respect other users within our space. You're welcome to explore whatever fictional situations you wish as long as you respect real people.

The scene you describe is fine as it is a fictional character.

is imgur recommended or not for image hosting? the FAQ says no, but it's listed on the how to add an image tutorial?

Woops! Sometimes when we update information we miss something.

While Imgur can be used as an image host for our site, they recently updated their TOS to say they're moving away from direct image embeds, which means links on site may break at any point.

We're not here to police what you do on your own social media accounts. We only care about what you post within our spaces.

As long as you follow the rules with what you post on CC then you can post whatever you like on your own social media.

We don't mind what you post off-site, only what you post within our spaces.

I remember seeing somewhere someone posting about writing for creative clash, is writing allowed as a primary form to compete and join creative clash? I'm not much of an artist but I can bring myself to write something and finish it unlike a drawing...

We absolutely allow writing submissions! We also allow physical crafts like sewing and crochet, and we've had people make jewellery and fursuit parts. We even allow music entries!

Question, could the immediate request for the password restart before the email verification be the case that after three weeks I hadn't been able to get a verification after three long weeks? Should I try again? Do you inform about possible rejection via email? Was I not verified?

In general, because we check registrations manually it can take a while to get around to them if the staff are busy. But you should receive an email with your result!
