We'd need to open consideration to actually begin openly addressing the root causes of those "disorders". We'd need to invite divergent ways of being into popular definitions of human-hood.

We'd need to stop blindly turning away and hiding in bypassing.

Acknowledging this would leave room for consideration outside of pathologising the behavior.

It is quite obviously not a sure path into a profit center (e.g. criminalization and treatment centers focused on cannabis), so why report on it...?
