My name is Diana Moreno. I’m a Queens mom, an immigrant organizer, and a proud democratic socialist with @socialists.nyc.

I’m running to replace @ZohranKMamdani.bsky.social in the Assembly in the upcoming special election to deliver on his affordability agenda and fight the rising tide of fascism.

WOW. It's not even 9:30am, and we've already raised over $12,000 from 125 individual contributors. 🀯

Can you chip in $36 for District 36 and get us to $30,000 on Day One? πŸ’Έ

Help us raise $3,200 for Aparna’s 32nd!

We need your support to fight for a Ward 1 and a DC that works for all of us. Together, we can cap rents, fund free childcare, raise wages, improve schools, and fight for a free DC.

To achieve a 50% win rate, DSA will need to sweep the races of Joel Brooks and Jake Ephros (Jersey City Council Wards B and D); and Stephanie Telles (Albuquerque City Council D1).

Regardless of if this happens, however, this year will still mark the growing sophistication of the socialist project.

This year, across 101 endorsements, DSA chapters have already locked in an off-year best 47.5% win rateβ€”and with three runoffs still to be decided in December, this could be the first year in the modern history of the organization that DSA chapters post an off-year win rate of >50%.

Thank you, Kevin Shea, for running a campaign that embodied courage, compassion, and conviction.

Though the results weren’t what we hoped for, your dedication to Riverhead’s working people and your vision for a fairer, more sustainable future inspired our entire chapter.

Black text on red background: Daeja is an experienced social worker and mutual aid organizer. She will be the first Black person and first queer person to serve on the Shaler Area School Board. Daeja was the only candidate in the race endorsed by the local teacher’s union.

Her campaign successfully fought against local conservative forces, including conservative Democrats teaming up with Republicans to try to stop her. They failed.

When you go out and talk to neighbors, you learn that people are fed up with the status quo and do actually support the values and priorities that the establishment is fighting against.
