The problem IS medical insurance companies. We can survive private providers of care, but it is the burden of how insurance racketeers it's way through medical financial managment that is the problem. A single payer program is the only sane way to move forward.

You're right and the fight for just treatment is ongoing but to say that there was no overreach, always vindicated, no excuses, never went too far? That's the way MAGA justifies their actions.

They entire DHS department needs to be dismantled and necessary duties (ONLY) re-distributed to Agencies not yet corrupted by MAGA/GOP Trumpism.

No, we need to take back responsiblity for our Party ourselves, probably for a new generaton of Leaders.

The Party is collective entity of members at all levels. It's current leadership is not "The Party", it's part of it, & to an extent disconnected some from it's members & it resembles a white gerontocracy more than it's member demographics suggest.

A new, younger generaton of Leaders is the answer.

His leadership style has been questionable, this only adds fuel to that notion. He has 16% of his caucus that did not follow. Angus King is an Independent.

The big consequences of the Senate Dem cave-in is that:
1) There is no "unity"
2) Leadership does not have control or full support
3) Calls for "fight to the end" won't be believed as readily
4) Voters will increasingly look to activists like Newsom, Mamdani, Platner etc & away from Dem gerontocracy
