This was discussed before, but although Vaggi's plan to bluff Vox was the wrong call, it was important of her to not just be a yes-woman to Charlie when the latter called her out on it. She may be dutiful to her own detriment, but not to the point she'll ignore her partner's flaws. It's a step up.

idk guys, i think more people would *get* a character who carries immense guilt over being a soldier, devotes themselves to the person who saved them while keeping their identity secret out of fear of losing them, & uses helping their loved one as atonement for both their “sins” if they were a guy.

I think that TO ME!!!! what makes the most sense is for Val to be the kind of person who was once victimized and exploited and dealt with it by "growing thicker skin" and put himself at the top to avoid being taken advantage of again and became the exploiter and victimizer

I think part of the reason I roll my eyes so hard when people talk about Angel & self-sacrifice & treat it as one of his better qualities is because...it's not lol. It's just self harm justified. It's impulsive and comes partially from a place of selfishness. It's a manifestation of his self hatred.
