Many journalists have used H&P’s reports on migrating millionaires. Very few (@willdunn.bsky.social and @timharford.ft.com) have actually treated them critically.

Henley & Partners’ wealth migration reports have been reported all over the world, both to prove both that there's a massive exodus of wealth from the UK and that there isn't.

According to the latest BEA data for Q4 2024, profits booked in Ireland by US multinationals have bounced back and reached a new high.

The UK and Singapore are now nearly as important for US multinationals' profits as the Netherlands. Profits booked in Mexico and Canada remain relatively small.

Afgelopen maandag is emeritus hoogleraar Nico Wilterdink overleden. In 1984 de promoveerde hij op het meest omvangrijke onderzoek naar vermogensongelijkheid in Nederland.

Is it surprising that Flinck’s child was buried there? I was under the impression that his relatives (whom he painted) were quite wealthy.

Would a wealth tax work? It wouldn’t be straightforward, but such a measure is possible.
