This is the effect of a well globally marketed club. When he was growing up Man Utd was seen as a massive club,poss biggest in the world. Hence, why players still sign. It's a shame, but all those foreign fan's, is now paying dividends for a club like Man Utd.

Unfortunately, the key to growing a brand is an easily marketable logo. I love the badge, but it's too traditional to be a global brand. It needs to look 'cool' and something people like the look of on a cup, a Jersey, hoodie etc.
