We have the redwoods south of me, which are BIG BOYS
I've seen some bigish trees out here, but ah deforestation is a doozy and I have not been out hiking anywhere with any trees bigger than a semi-truck standing on it's ass

And it's so interesting to see the differences between the east coast trees and the trees on the west coast now that I live there. The leaves on the EC go through the full yellow, orange, red change during fall. Out here in the PNW, leaves turn yellow and then pretty much drop.

Hey now, you grew up there, I grew up in Appalachia. Both our worlds are alien and beautful to the other. It's a kind of ' I see a rock, you see a mountain range', type deal.
