First of all, 5mm isn't microscopic and you CAN see them.
Second of all, the fact that our Chancellor thinks she can't see these seems to mean she thinks they're not worthy of our consideration.
A hallmark of this government's terminal lack of imagination.

Just as corrupt as the Conservatives, and in my opinion even more reckless with nature and the environment.
Even if you don't care about snails, we as human beings rely on nature for our mental and physical health.
This is Labour taking an anti enviromment and anti public health stance for cash.
Congratulations to our CEO, Martin Lines, on receiving the prestigious RSPB Medal, recognising his leadership in conservation. 🎉 This award honours his tireless work for both farmers and nature. 🙌 We’re so proud of you, Martin!

The tree you climbed as a child. Gone. The Swifts over your town. Gone. The air you breathe. Polluted. The river. Unsafe.
This is the reality of deregulation.
Cutting protections would mean disaster for nature & our economy.

While I understand the BBC’s imperative to provide balance in stories, at times it can feel completely ludicrous. Data vs one person’s entirely anecdotal opinion isn’t balance.

In what feels like the 100th story this week of how Wales is falling behind on environmental regulation and action to combat natural decline, the Welsh Government are dithering on regulation of gamebird release.
Millions of invasive birds are released into the Welsh countryside annually. Enough.
