It’s so frustrating.

As someone pointed out, it’s a monetization model for YouTube which I know. But if something is that long, I’m definitely not staying especially if it’s not interesting or informative. It’s usually just rambling nonsense.

Hence why I avoid YouTube.

I know that but it doesn’t make it any less frustrating.

Oh and the tv video didn’t even confirm where to find it, just where it could be found.

I ended up just unplugging the damn thing and resetting it. And later found the button and its secret sequence to get it to work.

All of the countless videos my spouse has watched of reviews for guitars, guitar parts, or something similar - most are ridiculously long for no reason while barely playing the instrument they are reviewing.

This week our tv remote got out of sync. I looked up options to fix it. The on/off switch on the tv is the least obvious thing ever so had to look up where to find it.

This one guy’s video was 5 minutes and the first 3 was just explaining that he was making a video to find the on/off button.

I have never been a big fan of YouTube for this reason.

Why do you need a 15 minute build up to get to the point? Argh. 2 minutes total would have been too much.

I would rather read.

Yeah, I worked in customer support and, if it's a 'peak' of one day, they will not care. They'll wipe their hands and say "ok, volumes are back to normal, it's fixed"
If after a week they are still receiving pressure... Then they'll begin to get nervous

The end was Q&A which was filled with mostly specific questions.

I think overall this was not that informative for me, though, there were pieces that were. The places that I wanted more information, there just wasn’t. 😕
