Yeah, I would say so, to varying degrees of success. It is very pretty, I’ll say that!

I’m definitely not trying to defend the movie as a whole, I thought it was fiiiine but nothing to write home about. But idk, I feel like the film is so removed from the book… the context of their relationship in the book didn’t have any bearing on how I viewed their relationship in the movie.

I mean she did say it’s a complete reimagining, so I don’t feel like it’s a misinterpretation so much as an intentional change.

I don’t watch sports but this makes me want to start watching women only lol

Upon hearing the sad news about Robert Carradine, I remember his great performance in Fred Walton's remake of I SAW WHAT YOU DID. He answered the call and then some when playing the story's villain. The role felt more deep because of him.

I hope more folks get around to seeing this TV hidden gem.
