Not sure what the evidence really says on WFH productivity (my hunch is it probably varies by sector, role, and individual). What bugs me about this though is how preachy Farage and his followers are. Firms are best placed to decide what works best for them, not virtue‑signaling politicians.

I’m just hovering on the outside of UK HE professionals globular cluster. Expected to merge with UK Nursing professionals in c250 million years.

On top of everything else, it shows the extraordinary incompetence of ICE.

Having lived in New Zealand for nearly 3 years I’m with Colin Stinging-Nettle on this.

Imagine the feeling when one of those pointless work meetings you hate with every fibre of your being just got cancelled. That’s how Mark Carney is feeling right now.

NZ election set for 7 November #nzpol. I'm eligible to vote for the first time since arriving πŸ₯³. It'll be close run, and interesting given current global climate. www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

Students can now claim $12,000 but is it money well spent? The funds have not lifted participation rates or helped more disadvantaged students, an economist says.

Is govt final year 'fees free' policy money well spent? (spoiler alert- probably not but it does save govt some money).

It’s difficult to find a leas serious person than Simon Case, and it’s a pretty crowded field.

It's weird how Twitter has become seen by some as some sort of state broadcaster that public figures must be on. It's a commercial media platform that politicians, public figures, citizens, anyone can decide whether to use it or not (in this case not, because it's a cesspit).

I had no idea a war on protein had been raging all these years. I guess we can be thankful there is one less war in the world tonight (or maybe the Republicans have a one in one out policy on wars?).

Excellent report on New Zealand’s productivity challenges from business ministry (MBIE) and NZ Trade. Being new to the country I hadn’t fully appreciated eg the scale and geography challenges and how different the productivity path for NZ will be from the UK www.mbie.govt.nz/dmsdocument/...
