Missed An Tir West War last week after an attack of real life. Luckily, the company was excellent.

The gift of this game is the way it allows us to chase our joy. Last night I dreamed about a dress I'm planning to make, and I get to make it a reality. ✨

I get so much joy from watching our make believe dress up game touch the hearts of so many and call us to be better. Full heart after a lovely coronation in Artemisia and being with friends who look after each other. Let's have more of that. Travel pic for visual interest.

There's always that calculation of if it's worth it to speak up and risk consequences, and if there's actually any chance things will get better. Focusing on making the game better for others is a great suggestion. I engaged some kids as herald and attendants at the event and that made my day 💜

Had a lovely time at the event on Saturday, did the hard things that needed to be done, saw and caught up with friends, and did my best to build joy whenever I could. Thank you, Artemisia.

I know this is something you're passionate about and have called me on before. Please don't assume I'm not addressing the issues with the people involved. I don't think it's wrong to share that sometimes things are hard and group dynamics can be challenging.

SCA friends, how do you revive your love of the game when bad actors suck away all the fun? Feeling irritated at a rash of people using their power in selfish thoughtless ways. I'll be eventing this weekend and it shouldn't feel like a chore.

Looking forward to Solstice in the Barony of Loch Salann this weekend, which should include a visit from a certain man in a red suit, as well as a cribbage tournament 🥰

Yes! I know I've heard about intentionally planted and tended food forests in the northwest of North America, some still extant. I'm glad to see this being brought to light, but it's not new, and it does seem super euro-centric to pretend it is.

My kid woke up at 8:30 this morning and asked me if it was time to eat the turkey yet 😂

Luckily she's a good sous chef and we should have a fun day of cooking together ahead.

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate. May your Turkey be juicy and your pies be sweet, don’t forget the farm workers who made the bounty on your table possible, or the indigenous people who tried to teach the whyte immigrants how to share when you give thanks.
