I always say this, and I am always trying.. there are times where it's easier or harder for me to do so.. but I'm going to keep doing my best💕

and I guess I just feel powerless to really do anything about it. but I think what I need to keep reminding myself to try and push through, is that even if I can't have some crazy effect on the world as a whole, it's still worth striving to better myself. if I can put myself in a better position,

but for the recent.. idk while now, it's been harder and harder for me to do so, and I think part of that is that the world and the future just feel a lot scarier.

I'm not sure exactly when it happened but looking at current events it's just become a lot harder to believe in a better future

I think I'm at the point where I'm realizing that I need to put myself out there more and doing so will potentially help me build more confidence to keep doing so.. it's not like I've never put myself out there before, otherwise I wouldn't have ever taken up the ILTV WN translations originally..

Lyrica in tears after hearing of the man's hardships.

Lyrica decides to invest her one silver coin.

after hearing of the man's past hardships as well as his plans for the future, Lyrica is sold. she decides that she wants to invest too. while she lives in the palace she doesn't have her many personal assets so...

she entrusts him with the silver coin she'd once placed all of her hopes in😭

A picture showing the man that Lyrica's mom made an investment with. He is rather handsome and dressed well, so Lyrica believes that he used his charms to scam her mother.

Lyrica decides that it's only fair that she at least hear his side of the story.

later, Lyrica's mother tells her that she's made an investment with a man. concerned that the man's conned her mother she hears that he's still on palace grounds and chases him down, demanding that he return the money.

he, however, manages, to convince Lyrica to hear him out

Lyrica's mother returns the exact silver coin.

Lyrica says that she can tell it's the exact coin because she'd never forget the stains and marks that were on the coin seeing as it was so precious to her.

time passes and they're starting to settle into the palace. Lyrica's mother manages to find the exact silver coin and return it to her. compared to the extravagances of a life at the palace, a single silver coin might not be much.. but it's the coin Lyrica had anchored her hopes and dreams to

Lyrica's mom asks her to trust her, just this once. She looks crazed.

A knight from the palace comes to pick Lyrica up.

the long short is, Lyrica refuses but after they go to bed, her mother steals her stash and disappears. Later on someone from the palace comes to pick Lyrica up, it seems that her mother succeeded in her gambit.

time to fast forward because I've spent too long on context

Lyrica's mother is set on attending the imperial ball. The vibrant yellow and red hues used to emphasize the warmth Lyrica felt are now a dark purple and ghastly blue, highlighting the shift in her perception.

Lyrica's mom asks her for money.

her first step is to attend the ball. a task even the optimistic Lyrica sees as nonsense. they may be from a fallen noble family, but now they're poor and living in the slums. regardless, Lyrica's mother is convinced she'll be able to get in if she pieces together enough money to borrow a gown

Lyrica's mother holds her, celebrating that Lyrica has "come back."

Lyrica's mother tells her that everything was her fault and how much she regrets it. That she realizes now just how precious Lyrica is.

one day, her mother undergoes a complete transformation. we as readers find out that she's regressed from a horrible future, and is determined to correct her mistakes. she'll use the experiences and knowledge she's gained to protect Lyrica, no matter what it takes.
