Not sure I'd actually noticed this before but the Greens beat Labor on semi-OPV Senate 2CP in Wills 50.32-49.68 (but not Melbourne).

Labor was ahead on primaries in Wills but only because Socialist Alliance had a big chunk of the left of Labor vote. Ratnam was 5.73% ahead before the Liberal exclusion and the margin was half that. SA prefs would have still flowed strongly, many Lib prefs would exhaust.

At the risk of enthusing Greens about a system that normally isn't be this good for them, I do hope ON supporters who are supporting Optional Preferential Voting realise that under it Samantha Ratnam would have won Wills and Adam Bandt would have probably retained Melbourne.
