I have lost count how many times I've seen it. I'm annoying to watch it with because I speak all the dialog while watching, LOL!

Life is Beautiful is in my top 5. Some people don't like it because it interjects bittersweet humor into the tragedy of the haulocaust. I think it's everything art should be, in that it made me feel and think and hope and cry.

It's official! Tuesday Feb 24 is Watch Your Favorite Movie Night! I haven't decided between The Princess Bride or Life is Beautiful. Everybody should check in around 8pm eastern time and share what you're watching!

Just a regular reminder to please support your local theatre, café, bookstore, bakery, and library. We breathe life into these places when we support them.

Without us, they can't survive, and truthfully, without them, neither can we.

Yup, turning it into a sort-of winter holiday. Good food, good books, thick blankets. As long as the roof holds, we're happy.

In the kitchen, preparing for the blizzard headed our way. Peach cobbler; cream of potato, bean and broccoli soup; sesame tofu stir-fry; teryaki tempeh rollups; and roasted root veg w rosemary and garlic. We have a generator, but only use the microwave when it's running, so all prepped and zappable.

A yellow knit afghan spread on top of a king sized bed. Mustard Yellow. It has three panels, each with a large cable at the center with stockinet rows on either side of the cables. A wide seed stitch border around each panel and the outside edges.

Almost three month later 😅 and it's finished! My first knit afghan. A few mistakes here and there, but I'm happy with it.

Fifty Four Ten Studio's River of Dreams bed runner pattern made 3 times and seamed together in Woolease Thick & Quick in Mustard Yellow.

I can't think of better rebranding ambassadors for masks than the 2026 Olympians. Our leaders have tried to pass off masks as something you only wear if already sick or older with comorbidities.

But everyone is vulnerable to post viral illness. These athletes get it 👏🏼👏🏼

...and yes, I understand that Boycotting all services is absolutely not feasible for all people. Do what you gotta do, and boycott what you can. This is a critical mass thing. If enough people boycott what they can do without, it will have impact. You don't have to do it all yourself.

Wow, looks like this will be soooo good! But am I tempted enough to leave my hidey-hole and head for NY? Hmmmmm.
