Alexander Butterfield, Who Revealed Nixon Tapes in Watergate Scandal, Dies at 99 www.nytimes.com/2026/03/09/u...
Alexander Butterfield, the top Nixon aide who helped blow open Watergate when he revealed Nixon’s WH taping system just 3 wks after John Dean’s explosive testimony wrecked Nixon, has died. Alex was 1 month short of 100 yrs old.
Here is Alex with John Dean at Alex’s 99th bday party last April. RIP🇺🇸
I do hope journalists will look into how this film was financed, ask Jon Voight about his decision to work with Singer, and ask executives of AMC about their thought process to go into business with Singer on this release. Among questions.

Here’s some background reading on Bryan Singer—a piece my colleague Alex French and I spent will over a year reporting. And link attached is the story behind the story of how and why it was assigned by Esquire and yet was published in The Atlantic.

I guess if Brett Ratner can have a “comeback.” … So Bryan Singer will have a *very* limited release of his first movie since he was fired from Bohemian Rhapsody in 2017. Ratner’s star was Trump’s wife; Singer’s is one of Trump’s “special ambassadors” to Hollywood, Jon Voight. www.monument.film

All things Trump are disturbing, but this particularly so.

The Feres doctrine-abuse of “incident to service” is a miscarriage of justice for US servicemembers.
But we can spend $2 billion a day on an illegal war that has already gotten servicemembers killed and wounded.

But you’re overlooking how well the ballroom is going, the successful war on school girls in Iran, the transparency and pursuit of truth in the Epstein files, and how well our president and girl-dad in Chief is doing personally in the crooked crypto game and his pardon business side hustles.

Ouch.
“New Yorker staff writer Susan Glassner compared his combative tone with the media as Hegseth “imitating Colin Jost imitating Pete Hegseth,” referring to the cast member who plays the Pentagon chief on Saturday Night Live with a lot of aggressive yelling and name-calling.”

Asked earlier today whether Americans should be worried about retaliatory attacks at home, Trump said:
“I guess.”
“Like I said, some people will die. When you go to war, some people will die.”
He can’t even pretend to give a single fuck about human life. Truly a conscienceless sociopath.
