A powerpoint slide: Title: The proposed pipeline Body: I’m choosing to base my project around Ferreira et al. 2020’s paper, with one key change - I use a Evolutionary Neural Search Algorithm (ENAS) to lock in the optimal architecture for final CNN classifier. Instance segmentation: An instance segmentation model is trained using hand-annotated images from the dataset; masked images are generated. Pre-processing: The masked images are augmented with Gaussian noise, Gaussian blur and motion blur filters. ENAS: With a subset of the masked and pre-processed dataset, an ENAS algorithm is run to find the optimal CNN architecture for identifying kaka. Will be expensive! CNN Classification: The fittest model after 20 generations is selected and fed the full pre-processed and masked dataset before evaluation.
